Survivor Nicaragua: Marty Survives a Stupid Move & Jane Gets a Fish

This is probably the least cohesive Survivor cast ever. Though there are a few small alliances, it’s all about numbers not loyalty. I would have never guessed that Mary and Jane would have the strongest bond, but they did. Even when it became obvious that Jane was the target tonight, Marty stayed true and did not right down her name. Jane still got eliminated tonight on Survivor Nicaragua.

Here’s how it all happened.

Tensions ran a little high on LaFlor after the blowup at Tribal Council. Marty immediately asked what happened. He didn’t get much of an answer, other than they admitted to wanting to flush out his idol.

The Reward Challenge was next. Tribes competed for a day at a Nicaraguan farm. The day included a home feast. It was a pretty easy challenge. Players had to jump off a ramp into a pool and throw a ball into a goal behind a single blocker on a pole.

This was such an easy challenge that Fabio was allowed to take a potty break... Fabio peed in the pool that others are jumping into... and announce it to the world. You know, we can never un-know that about you Jud. *shivers*

It was karma that Espada (not Fabio’s LaFlor tribe) won the reward challenge.

The Immunity Challenge was equally dull tonight. Two players were perched on top of a tower, with the rest of the team below guiding a ramp of sorts to launch a ball. The people up top would tell the teams how to move to steer the balls and break tiles.

It was over fairly fast with the Espada tribe again showing team work and patience, while LaFlor floundered.Espada won easily and had tribal immunity for this week.

At one point during the night, Jane was seen fishing by herself for nearly a full day while the rest of the young tribe napped. When Jane caught a fish, she kept it for herself. Good girl Jane!

LaFlor was off to tribal council again. This time Brenda and Sash came up with a plan to just tell Marty they were going to flush the hidden immunity idol from him tonight. Instead they decided to offer him a “deal”. The deal was that Marty give Sash the Idol and accept his word that he would not only not get eliminated tonight, but that Sash would give back the Idol the following week. We’ll see.

I would not have believed it if I hadn’t seen it myself, Mary handed over the Idol to Sash. At tribal council, Brenda grinned like the Cheshire Cat. Probst even seemed stunned at the move by Marty. It was all just made to look dramatic though, Jill got the most votes in the end. Jill got backdoored in a week that had nearly nothing to do with her. That’s life in Survivor Nicaragua.

Next week is the merge, and NaOnka goes back on the war path.
