I like TV, obviously, that’s why I started this blog.
I love classic TV shows. Now I can watch them on reruns, Netflix, Hulu.com and Amazon Prime. Heck, even YouTube shows reruns of some of my favorite sitcoms and talent shows.
I've always been a couple of steps behind when it comes to favorite TV shows. I usually find my favorites in syndication when they air five times a week.
Some of my favorite dramas include any of the Law & Order series (original, SVU and Criminal Intent). I also enjoy reruns of Hill Street Blues, Breaking Bad, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Police Story, Kojak, Streets of San Fransisco and many more as I find them in the backlogs of history.
I'm not just a drama queen, I enjoy a few retro TV sitcoms as well. Look out for reviews of Cheers, Frazier, Everybody Loves Raymond, Weeds, The Office, and more!
Even reality TV gets me going every once in a while. I like to go back and watch previous seasons of Survivor to remember where we met some of the more lovable and hated characters.
I also liked America's Got Talent and American Idol when they were in their infancy. I am truly a sucker for talent shows, especially when an underdog wins. I also enjoy seeing true talent bare its face on shows like American Idol or America’s Got Talent. The worst part for me, as is for most I suspect, is the incessant need for producers to feed us the sob stories and hide some talent from us.
The Biggest Loser is a weird choice for me. I love Jillian Michaels and her style of weight loss. I don’t like the idea of alliances and voting people off on popularity.
The cooking shows have surprised me the most. Though I’ve always enjoyed cooking shows on the local PBS station, I wasn’t sure I’d like a competition. I do.... and I think Gordon Ramsay is hot. Don’t judge me. So yes, I do post on Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.
