The task was to put together a four page advertising piece for the Trump hotels. Trump is either finding it hard to get sponsors now, even for free ads, or he just needed the free work. Either way, it didn’t work to his advantage. Before any task was announced Trump asked the Celebrity Apprentice panel if he should run for president *yawn*. Of course all said yes.
PM’s were John Rich and Star Jones.
Before the show could even start we saw NeNe Leakes having an emotional moment because LaToya Jackson had said off camera that she would keep in touch with all on the show except for NeNe. Leakes could not understand what she had done to garner this treatment from LaToya. Well let’s see. You called LaToya “Casper the ghost” and an “old lady,” is that enough? It would be for me.
Cover of LaToya JacksonNeNe said it’s very difficult for her to work with fake people and felt that LaToya had thrown her “under the table” in front of Donald Trump. LaToya, surprisingly to me, stood right up to Leakes saying she had been sworn at and called names. After only a minute the two hugged it out and they got back to “work.”
The men were a hot mess of their own, with Meatloaf filling in for the missing crazy void of Gary Busey this week. Each time they showed the men they played the stupid music, a sure sign that they would likely win. The biggest problem for the men was creativity and spelling. Not a big surprise really.
John Rich had his hands full as he tried to decipher the crap coming out of Meatloaf. Rich called him a “riddle wrapped in an enigma.” Lil Jon seemed happy to sit and agree with anything Rich threw out for an idea. Still no surprises.
Star Jones was large and in charge on team ASAP, and NeNe was hating every second of it. I don’t think there is anything that makes NeNe happy though. When she and LaToya returned from shopping Star told her she had five minutes to get ready for her photo shoot. NeNe said stubbornly, “This is my scene, so everybody shut the f*** up! It’s pissing me off!” That’s a classy woman there.
Later NeNe said, “No one will take on Star, but I will cause that’s how I roll!” Her new BFF LaToya said in immediate echo as she passed by, “Cause that’s how she rolls!” Now that was funny.
Team ASAP had the tag line of “Individual elegance, collective luxury” for the ad campaign. Star loved it, but then again she loves all of her own ideas. LaToya was not impressed but said nothing to Star. Her comments when looking at the overall finished product were priceless. Of one picture in the advert she said, “a girl in a tub with roses? And a guy that would probably give you herpes?”
When it came time for the presentations the men got it together. They lied about staying at the Trump hotels, as they should, and made it sound professional. The ladies, on the other hand, just said one word each in turn. It was boring and not good at all.
It was not shocker that the Trump executives didn’t like either ad, in fact it’s fair to say they hated both teams’ attempts. They said team ASAP’s print work looked like a cheap club flyer you would find under your windshield wiper. The men had done exactly what they were told not to do by the reps in specific instructions, and had no contact info in the ads. Their critiques were brutal, and rightfully so, telling Trump it was “more of a car wreck than an ad campaign..” When they met with The Donald, they said there was no winner, but ultimately chose a loser.
In the boardroom Trump wasted no time in stirring things up with the women. He asked NeNe how she felt about things. NeNe said she felt there was negativity and phoniness. Ya think?
She went on to say that to be “really really real, a couple of these girls were crawling up Star’s ass.”
To which Trump remarked, “By the way, it’s much nicer now that she’s lost the weight.” Classy Donald.
Star took it in stride and said, “It wouldn’t have been very comfortable” before she lost the weight.
Not much was said to the men, other than the fact that they stunk it up just as much as the women on this task. They were eventually pronounced as not the losers though. Since there were no winners this week. That was enough to keep all three of them safe.
When it came time for Star Jones to call two back in to the boardroom, she chose LaToya and NeNe. Even Donald Jr. tried to throw Hope under the bus, but Star was confident that NeNe would back her up and they would get LaToya out. Obviously something went on off camera.
Trump was only too happy to keep the drama queens around for another week. LaToya did not stand a chance against the freight train coming at her. Even Donald Trump acknowledged that she was going to have a tough time fending off the two outgoing women with her in the boardroom. She made some good points, but Trump was not interested. Quickly he said the words, “LaToya, you’re fired.”
At the elevator Star asked LaToya if she wanted them to wait with her, and LaToya said no. So Star gave her a cold “good-bye.” NeNe went and gave her new bff a hug good-bye before turning to Star for a heart-to-heart chat. She told Star to start listening to the team. Star explained she hates to lose, which is painfully obvious.
I’ll call it now and say John Rich and Marlee Matlin will likely be the final two on this season of Celebrity Apprentice. The meltdown we previewed for next week’s episode shows NeNe and Star going at it again. I think they will self destruct and both lose eventually.

LaToya I am sorry the show and the other women were so UNFAIR to you. You deserved MUCH better. You did extremely well on this show and showed your stuff. ReplyDeleteLaToya should not have been fired. Trump himself said he believed that she's been doing very well. For the sake of ratings, there would be no way in hell that Trump would let go of Nene or Starr. Doesn't matter, because Marlee Matlin is going to win this in the end.
ReplyDeleteIt a shame that all of a sudden, they start going after LaToya and use her. The issue at hand was not the task, which is should have been. LaToya had nothing to do with loosing this task it was all Start.

ReplyDeleteLaToya should not have been fired. This makes Trump look even worse than before. Star played him like a fiddle. Star should have been fired. NeNe Leeks should also be fired just for the profanity and all the broken verbs and poorly used words. Will someone give her a speech coach...
ReplyDeleteLaToya getting fired was completely unfair. She had nothing to do with the team losing the task and Star had everything to do with it. For her team to call her the weak link is insulting when she always did what she was assigned and with class and professionalism. NeNe is so ghetto it's disgusting. And Star is the phoniest Christian on TV. She sucked and she should've been fired.
ReplyDeletelooks like I was not the only one to see that Latoya was treated unfairly... she got a raw deal from the start..... what really gets me is that Star lost when she was PM.... and Latoya won when she was... so she really got a bad deal..... it is GREAT to see that most others saw it the same way..... STAR needs to go..... hope she is fired next....

ReplyDeleteI think Trump made the right decision. No one on the time likes Latoya. I can't stand her either. She is very two faced. I also believe that if Star went the girls would lose more task. Latoya is the weakest link.
