The final seven contestants on Biggest Loser 10 were treated to a full makeover this week. They also starred in a fashion show and got to meet with their loved ones. All looked really good for their “big reveal”, as we’d expect. The makeovers were followed by a brutal endurance challenge, where a selfless act had us in tears. After the weigh-in results it was obvious that this was finally the week Lisa would leave BL10.
The makeovers and fashion show went off without a hitch. It was nice to see the Biggest Loser 10 contestants all dressed up. I thought Mark, Patrick and Ada looked the best. Lisa and Elizabeth looked good too, but Jillian said it best. They know they are good looking, Ada needs to be told how pretty she is.
After last weeks debacle with Ada’s family not sending in a video message for her it was interesting to see if they would show up this week. Ada’s family did not show up for the makeover reunion, but she was not unhappy about that. Later Ada told Brendan that she had not dealt with the fact that they did not send her a video so she was glad they did not come. Ada’s friend Jennifer came instead.
After the fun came a grueling endurance challenge for the BL10 contestants. The prize: a brand new Ford Edge to the individual winner. Each person would have to complete a step circuit course. If you walked the stairs you earned 5pts per circuit, if you rode a trolley up you earned 1pt. First player to 100pts wins the car.
It was Ada, Brendan and Patrick right from the start. Mark and Frado were hanging in for completion. Lisa and Elizabeth were in the rear, imagine that. After very short time, Elizabeth jumped on the trolley and pretty much gave up. Elizabeth was the only person to not finish the challenge. She left, crying, with 70pts.
Ada got to her final lap and did something odd. We are cut to the producers talking with cameramen looking for Ada on the stairs. She waited for Brendan to catch up and walked him over to another area to have a talk with him. Ada said, “I knew I had won the competition, now it was a matter of getting the car into the right hands.” Wow, just wow. The two decided that Patrick, out of work with kids, needed the car more than they did. They waited for Patrick to catch up to them and finished with him hitting the button first. Patrick won the 2011 Ford Edge.

After the last chance workouts it was time for the weigh-in.
Patrick 301lbs 291lbs -10lbs
Elizabeth 201lbs 196lbs -5lbs
Brendan 272lbs 265lbs -7lbs
Ada 190lbs 185lbs -5lbs
Mark 309lbs 299lbs -10lbs
Lisa 228lbs 228lbs 0 lbs
Frado 267lbs 263lbs -4lbs
We were so close to a Brendan vs Frado vote off tonight. Lisa made it too easy, as she and Elizabeth have every week, for the big-man alliance. Lisa and Frado fell below the yellow line (not Elizabeth this week), and it was an easy bet that Lisa would go.
Sure enough, Brendan stayed true to his alliance and voted for Lisa. Elizabeth stayed with the men who brought her this far and voted for Lisa. Mark made a dramatic effort, but voted out the obvious person leaving. With three consecutive votes, Lisa was eliminated from the Biggest Loser 10 ranch tonight.
In Lisa’s update she has now lost a total of 89lbs, down to 199lbs. I don’t think she’ll win the at-home prize, but at least she feels more comfortable with herself. Lisa will never fully “get it” until she does it for herself. The entire season she said she was doing it for her kids, specifically her daughter. Some day she’ll be ready to face it for herself.
My loyalty stays with Ada, though I fear every week she’ll hit her plateau with so little left to lose. Come on Ada! You can do it! Who are your rooting for now on Biggest Loser 10?
