AI Season 10 Videos: Best Performances So Far

American Idol: 10th Anniversary - The Hits Volume 1We finally have our Top 13 for American Idol season 10, but they did not necessarily have the best performances of the year so far. A couple of them did, but I think some others stood out during the Hollywood and Vegas auditions as well.

Here are a few of my favorite AI season 10 videos so far:

Jacob Lusk puts his heart and soul into "God Bless the Child" during his solo. Take us to church Jacob! Best solo during auditions ever, I think.

How do you follow an act like Jacob Lusk... well luckily I don't have to, I'll just show you another one of my favorite Idol videos from the season 10 auditions.

Only Casey Abrams can compete with the talent of Jacob Lusk in the music category of this season of American Idol. Both men seem to know exactly who they are as artists and have proven it in these Idol videos.

On the first live Idol elimination show this season, Casey Abrams challenged Randy Jackson to a "bass-off"... I bet we see it on the AI season 10 finale.

Okay, don't judge me for these next two... I never thought in a million years either of these guys would impress me enough to post a video as an Idol favorite. They may be one hit wonders, but I hope not.

The first is Stefano Langone and his performance of "I Need You Now" for the wildcard spot in the top 13. He earned it with this one:

I don't want to like him, I thought he was an Adam Lambert wanna-be... but James Durbin is forcing me to post this AI video of him jamming on some Judas *bleepin* Priest. That's right, Judas Priest done on the American Idol stage, and done well. I doubt James Durbin has a chance of winning American Idol season 10, but I hope he gets a band and brings back heavy metal music.

I'm not a country fan, never have been. I do enjoy great country voices though when I hear them. Carrie Underwood opened the door for country stars to come out of American Idol. Scotty McCreery is taking full advantage of the path she cut. With a beautiful baritone, it's nearly impossible not to like Scotty McCreery. I worry he won't be able to hold it together to the end with the different genres. I'll give him this one though, singing "Letters From Home":

Tell me which American Idol performances were your favorites so far... I may post them up here for your enjoyment!
