Cowboys Jet & Cord Win the 3rd Leg of TAR 16: "We don't have to run like scalded dogs!"

Cowboys Jet & Cord continued their run of luck in The Amazing Race as they coasted to another first place finish easily. The roadblocks just lined up for the two, and they played some great strategy.

This week The Amazing Race 16 went through Argentina. All the remaining contestants caught up at the first station, so the new leg started fair. Brent and Caite got a late start with illness. The went to the hospital for IV fluids and joined the race at the start of the leg, far behind.

Jet and Cord took advantage of their head start by finding locals to give them directions for their destination. They then pulled off the road, as if lost, and somehow managed to beat all the other teams to the first road block.

The first roadblock of the 3rd leg was a steer roping challenge, imagine that. The lesbian couple of Carol and Brandy were livid with the choice of competition for the cowboys. As the cowboys said, it was all fair though when you spoke fluent Spanish and they didn't.

After two throws of the lasso, the Jet and Cord were on their way with a clue to the next detour. They left every other team in the dust.

The Detour for the 3rd leg was either a polo game (sort of) or a dig for loot. The polo game consisted of getting a small ball to a goal in less than nine whacks, while sitting on and moving a giant wooden horse.

The search part of the detour involved looking for "loot" in the fields and taking it to a certain person. Matching your coordinates to the right one and delivering to the right person was the trick. Many tried this challenge, only a few succeeded.

After most tried and failed at finding their loot, they went to the polo game. Monique and Shawne were trailing from the lasso challenge and fell further behind here.

Jeff and Jordan had success with finding their loot, but had trouble with the delivery. Jeff said, "It's frustrating, we're stupid... I guess we shouldn't reproduce", nudging Jordan playfully. I love this couple, but yes please...no babies.

Brent and Caite running on pure adrenaline and water made a heroic comeback. Largely due to the lasso ability of Brent. He got his rope on the second try, just like the real cowboy.
