After allowing Clint to lead last week (even after he told Trump that he would) Wade took the PM position this week. They were assigned the women’s line of shoes from Rockport for the fashion show assignment. Wade went to work assigning tasks to the team. He chose Anand and Steuart to shop and dress the models. Dave stepped up immediately for a speaking part. Wade assigned Gene and Dave the parts of emcee. My guess is, Wade thought Gene could keep Dave in line and on task. That didn’t happen, of course.
The women chose Stephanie as PM and were assigned the men’s line of new Rockport shoes. Kelly was in charge of fashion and dressing the male models. Poppy went on the shopping trip as well. Brandy was assigned the emcee position and before they did anything else, the ladies came up with a storyline for their fashion show. Mahsa was the time keeper for the task, it was the first time she was not screaming at anyone.
It was obvious from the rehearsals that none of the men had likely ever even seen a fashion show. It was going to be a nightmare. Gene was nowhere near ready and Dave was just plain silly. Wade asked Gene point blank if he needed to be replaced as the main emcee and Gene said no. Wade asked him again, and was refused again. All the men feared the worst... and got just that.
The women had only a couple of hiccups in their entire program. The finale had the male models come back onstage in boxer-briefs (yep, underwear). Not the Rockport conservative style at all. They also had one guy in shorts that had terrible scabs on both his knees. It looked tacky. Liza mentioned it in passing, but did not say enough to get any attention.
The men were just plain awful from start to finish. If there even was a finish. Gene took a laptop to the podium with him and simply attempted to read. He mispronounced words and inverted shoes and model names throughout the show. The crowd sat in a stunned silence.
Donald Trump was so upset with the men he did not waste any time telling the women they had won the task. He had not even said a word to the men yet. He was highly impressed with Brandy’s emceeing and said he has plans “to use her”. I think Brandy is going to find herself as a spokeswoman or at least doing more fashion shows for Trump.
Trump seemed to have it in for Wade from the minute the women left the boardroom. Wade barely had time to defend himself from the verbal attacks coming at him from The Donald. The battering did not stop at Wade. He went after Gene and David, but through Wade. The other men on the team actually tried to defend Wade’s decision at having those two in the emcee position. To know avail, “...he couldn’t read!” yelled Trump about Gene. Then, “...did you think he would be anything but an ass up there?”, about Dave.
Apparently the entire task should have been done by Wade, Anand, Steuart and Clint. I guess Trump expected Wade to just sit David and Gene out for this one. There is no way they would have been better at shopping for the women models. Hello, Gene wears a bow tie and Dave would have been likely begging for a harassment suit by the end of the task.
Gene tried to get a word in, and took full responsibility for his failure as the emcee. He even told Trump he deserved to be fired.
“Alright, Gene you’re fired. Wade, you’re fired.”, replied Trump. Wow, just like that. He was disgusted with the whole crew and told the rest of the men to “just get out” of the boardroom.
In a scene from The Apprentice next week it looks like Dave is off his rocker... again. At one point we hear Clint with The Apprentice quote of the season, “You couldn’t get a job as an oompa-loompa making gobstoppers!”
It couldn’t get any worse than it did tonight. The Apprentice hit a new low. The sad thing is that we didn’t even really get to see the shoes from Rockport this week. What a shame, they are great shoes.

ReplyDeletePromise which never kept - As you know, Donald Trump prefer actions over words. Wade promised to step up, but didn't do so in the last task. A crucial mistake indeed. Donald Trump hates these people, cause he values honesty a lot. In fact, if men's team lost last week,
wade would have been fired.
Disaster for tonight fashion show - It's pretty self explanatory. Imagine a Rockport executive comes to you, and you promised him/her, "oh, it's going to be fantastic. I had the best men." And in the end, it becomes below par performance, which almost destroy D.Trump reputation. Donald Trump was obviously furious and embarrassed by the men's team. He could not keep his promise, which he did not like doing so.
So, not only wade did not what he promised to do, he made D.Trump break his own promise as well.
It's a huge sign of dishonesty, and D.Trump obviously could not tolerate that.
p/s: The huge mistake is everyone on the men's team, including wade, did not TRY to fix the problem, because they know the person responsible is OBVIOUS (gene), and they THOUGHT they are SAFE in the boardroom.
