It’s finally Friday night, and there is even decent shows on network TV tonight. It’s getting hard to keep up with all the new shows. Even reruns are running up against new shows tonight. ABC and FOX are the only two with reruns tonight. Those are only in the first hour of prime time though. Here’s what’s on network TV tonight:

8/7c: School Pride - Premiere
Students, teachers, parents and a team of helpers (SWAT commander Tom Stroup, designer Susie Castillo, comic Kym Whitley and pundit Jacob Sorboroff) collaborate to bring back a California school in need of major renovation. Cheryl Hines is executive producer.
9/8c: Dateline - new episode (2hrs)
A successful lawyer is blinded and his wife is murdered during a home invasion. An unlikely suspect surfaces.
I may have to record School Pride to get a look, or catch it online later. I like the idea, but think it’s really sad that no tax money (or obviously very little) is going to renovate these schools. Isn’t that where governors keep telling us the tax monies are going? Hmmm. Maybe Dateline or 20/20 can do an investigation on where that money is really going. It’s nice to have another family show on TV, it just makes me wonder. On the plus side, Outlaw was finally canceled by NBC!
I’ll catch Medium, for sure, then it’s a toss up between Dateline and 20/20 for the end of prime time. I like Blue Bloods, but it moves a little slow for me. I’m more interested in the crimes and police work than the family of the cops. What shows are you going to watch on network TV tonight?
