AGT 2010: 3rd Live Quarter Final Results Show

Nick Cannon started off the night on America's Got Talent asking Howie Mandel about his comments on the 'wow factor' last night. In fact, he called him "Howie Wowie" after the judge repeatedly chastized acts for not having a wow moment. Howie explained to Nick that "wow means wow, if there were another word for it I would use it."

Piers Morgan jumped in to throw a few bashes Howie's way calling him "Howie Halfwit" after the comedian's choices thus far in the comedy category. This is well deserved, I think, since the comedy acts have been atrocious this year on AGT.

Howie Mandel battled back saying that Piers Morgan is doing the PR circuits and "besmirching his name". Howie went on to refer to Morgan as a "besmirch-er" when they later were confronting Chipps Cooney, the source of the trouble last night.

The live results finally got started as Nick Cannon called the first three acts to the stage: South Philly Vikings, CJ Dippa and Haspop. I got a fleeting sick feeling that young rapper CJ Dippa might beat out the amazing dance of Haspop. Luckily America got it right and voted to send Haspop on to the AGT 2010 semi finals. I was a little shocked to see CJ Dippa leave so early. I thought he would be a possible judges pick tonight.

Dance crew and former AGT contestants, Jabberwocky, took over the stage next. There is a reason these guys are now headlining a show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Jabberwocky reach out and grab the audience from the costumes, complete with white masks, to some of the best hip hop ever.

AGT 2010: Week 3 of Quarter Finals Live Performances & Judges Comments

1. South Philly Vikings: dance group
they looked good in costume, but there was not much substance their dance. Just a lot of walking around. Piers Morgan used his first 'X'.

Piers Morgan: "...it's just overgrown children in robot costumes... I just see a bunch of people who don't sing and don't dance very well..."

Sharon Osbourne: "...I would like to apologize for my English friend.." , to which Piers Morgan corrected her that he is Irish, not English. "...all of you blue collar guys that have no training... I think it's really good entertainment."

Howie Mandel: "... I don't know what category it is... it's amazing what you can do with tin foil and holiday lights... it's like a craft project on steroids..."

2. CJ Dippa: Rapper
CJ is talented at the young age of eleven (or one one, as he told Piers last time). He can rap and he writes his own rhymes. You have to like rap though. He has a big attitude for a little kid. It might help him, it might not. Oh, he can dance better than Bieber too.

Piers Morgan: "... this is my world... on the negative side I couldn't understand a single word you were saying, on the positive side I can't understand any rapper..."

Sharon Osbourne: "... it's brilliant... I didn't realize what good dancer you are..."

Howie Mandel: "...that's whats impressive...the fact that you bring your own original beats..."

3. Harmonica Pierre: harmonica player
This guy is probably the best harmonica player I've ever heard. He went from a classical opening to a version of "Hey Soul Sister", pretty bold since Train was just on the show last week. A good performance tonight, but I'm not sure he deserves a main show spot.

Piers Morgan: "... I know where Howie's coming from... what is indisputable about you is you ...are one of the best harmonica players I've ever seen."

Sharon Osbourne: "... I love what you did ... I love the way you mixed around your material tonight..."

Howie Mandel: "... I think you did fantastically... you are truly and expert and truly a talent... I'm not sure about the harmonica... like the music at my doctor's office..." true.
