Tonight was the last quarterfinal results show for America's Got Talent, sending four wildcard acts into the semifinals. Criss Angel performed his magic ... and Leann Rimes appeared on the stage (in an unrelated incident).
The judges' favorite acts were brought to the AGT stage to find out their fates in four groups, as usual. The first group called by Nick Cannon was: Kruti Dance Academy, Michael Grasso, Swingshift Side Show and Rudi Macaggi. I felt bad for Rudi Macaggi, but Michael Grasso was the clear winner of this group. After the obligatory camera pan, Nick Cannon pronounced him the newest semifinalist.
Criss Angel did an impressive act; escaping from a straightjacket while hanging upside down by the ankles... in under a minute. Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan provided comic relief as they strapped Angel into the jacket, with Piers giving him particularly hard yanks. "Did I do something to you earlier?" Criss Angel asked Morgan with a grin.
