Now Omarosa Free!
Oh my! After the absolute pummeling given to Omarosa last week by Piers Morgan, the post Board Room party was for two, Piers and his ego. He giggled and and politely put down Omarosa (deservedly so) for the first five minutes of the show. Piers immediately apologized to Trace Atkins for kissing him to end last weeks show, Trace laughed it off after the initial shock. Lennox Lewis chimed in that it would now be called "Broke Back Board Room".
On to the challenge, this week the teams remained the same (Trace Atkins, Stephen Baldwin vs. Piers Morgan, Lennox Lewis, and Carol Alt). Each team must create an original Quizno's sandwich and sell as many as they can. The hitch, no rolodex this time, Donald Trump wanted only "man on the street" sales.
Team Empressario, Trace Atkins and Stephen Baldwin, decided to try a complete original sandwich literally, with Trace as the Project Manager. The sandwich was the Cowboy Club, consisting of: Prime Rib, mozzerella cheese, grilled onions, bacon, and Chipotle sauce on flat bread.
Team Hydra, went to Quizno's first with Lennox Lewis as the figurative Project Manager (and Piers running things). The team (Piers) decided to ask the owner of Quizno's what the resturaunt's number one selling sandwich is:tukey, pepperjack cheese, and chipotle mayo on flat bread. The team then decided to change to Cheddar cheese, and call their inspiration the "Champ Sandwich".
This proved to be another brilliant marketing strategy, since you already know you are starting with a hit sandwich. Team Hydra then simply had to market Lennox Lewis to a New York City street crowd. Not too difficult in a city full of boxing fans!
Trace Atkins and Stephen Baldwin had a tougher time with face recognition in a New York City crowd. As Trace said later in the Board Room, "...if this were in Nashville, I'd be the only one left standing!" Everyone in the Board Room agreed with Trace.
As things turned out, Team Hydra won again, with 313 Quizno's sandwich sales to Team Empressario's 253 Quzno's sandwich sales. Winning $25 thousand dollars for Lennox Lewis' charity The Mahamed Ali Foundation.
Team Empressario was forced into The Donald's Board Room, where the toughest decision (emotionally) had to be made. Trace Atkins, though the Project Manager on this task, has consistently brought in money on every task. Stephen Baldwin has yet to bring in any money to speak of, but he is good at visual marketing. They had one less player or it may have gone the other way.
At the end of the day (a term I hate, buy I think started on this show), Trace Atkins was the obvious fundraising choice. That is what Celebrity Apprentice is all about, knowing where the money is and how to get to it. Trace Atkins made it clear he was here for a higher purpose, his daughter has a severe food allergy and this is the charity he plays for. He wants to bring attention to the issue. Trace brings more than attention to the cause, he brings class (and I had never heard of him before this show).
Donald Trump finally said the words, "Stephen Baldwin, you're FIRED".
