Sunday nights have really gone back to family TV night. It’s nice to still have one night of the week suitable for the entire family during prime time. All the major networks have decent shows this week, especially for sports lovers.
Here’s what’s on network TV tonight:
ABC
8/7c: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - new episode
Mark Ballas, Derek Hough, Tony Dovolani, Chelsie Hightower and Anna Trebunskaya help to remodel the house of the man who developed the program to keep kids from obesity through dance (Move to the Groove).
9/8c: Desperate Housewives - new episode
Keith proves to be a bone of contention for Bree and Renee. Susan is forced to go public for Va-Va Broom, and Paul Young buys back his old house against his new wife’s wishes.
10/9c: Brothers & Sisters - new episode
Cooper gets a lead role in Romeo & Juliet. Justin and Rebecca try to figure out where their relationship is heading. Holly’s memory lapses take a toll on her.
CBS
8/7c: The Amazing Race 17 - new episode
“We should have brought gloves and butt pads” - The teams finally leave Africa for the Arctic circle. The 4th leg is definitely an elimination leg and father/son team of Kevin and Michael have to complete a speed bump to stay in the race.
9/8c: Undercover Boss - new episode
Frontier Airlines CEO, Bryan Bedford, goes undercover inside his company.
10/9c: CSI: Miami - new episode
Horatio does battle with an old nemesis after a girl is abducted and the only witness is a blind man that leads him to his past.
CW shows local programming on weekends
FOX
8/7c: MLB: Game 2 Giants at Phillies
NBC
8/7c: Sunday Night Football: Colts at Redskins
Mostly a family night, if you overlook Desperate Housewives. I will never understand ABC’s logic in following the most family friendly show (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) with one of the least. It must work for them though. If you aren’t a fan of Desperate Housewives, I strongly urge you to try Undercover Boss. It’s been my reluctant favorite since its beginning and seems to get better each week.
This is the first time (that I can remember) The Amazing Race goes to the Arctic Circle. This should be cold... I mean fun. You can catch up here if you’ve missed some of the episodes:
The Amazing Race 17: week 1, week 2, week 3
