What’s on Network TV Tonight? (12/12/10)
All new episodes grace the networks tonight. It’s a great night for TV, especially with winter weather brewing outside. The schedule for CBS will likely run late since they have a late football game. Set your DVR accordingly as it often runs 20-30 minutes behind schedule. Don’t miss the end of the Amazing Race 17 due to a bad set time.

The Amazing Race 17: Nick & Vicki Saved by the Last Non-Elimination Leg
The drama began as teams waited together at the airport. Jill & Thomas had to face the wrath of Brook & Claire after U-Turning them last week...awkward! Thomas said they should take it as a compliment since it meant that they were felt to be a strong team. That explanation always sounds better in your head. It never works in real life. It turned out to be just a kitten fight anyway, Brook could not help but shake hands.

The Amazing Race 17: Michael & Kevin make a few too many mistakes
Tonight’s leg of the Amazing Race 17 kept the racers in Russia, and proved to be one of the most mentally challenging. Jill & Thomas started in first place, but as often happens things changed dramatically during the leg. It was a mind mess that wound up deciding who went home tonight though. Kevin & Michael incurred two penalties costing them a full one hour penalty, and the race. They were declared the last team to arrive, and eliminated from the Amazing Race 17.
It was pretty dramatic. Here’s the play by play.
Jill & Thomas, Brook & Claire and Kevin & Michael led the teams to the first Detour at a Russian circus. The circus was closed so the teams all caught up to each other, as is often the case.

The Amazing Race 17: Nick & Vicky Get Saved
Nat & Kat kicked off the leg in first place, and headed off to the train station that would take them to St. Petersburg, Russia. They quickly became aware that it would be a tight leg when all teams would ride the same train for several hours to get to Russia.
Brook & Claire wound up bonding with Nat & Kat during the train ride. As the teams shared a cabin for the long ride, they took turns smelling each others shoes and socks. Boy, did that look like fun... NOT! It was funny to watch though.

The Amazing Race 17: Team Glee Sings Their Way Out
It was a funny episode of The Amazing Race tonight, with teams headed to the Arctic Circle (Sweden). Jonathan and Connor started the 4th leg of the race in first place. It was their graduation day from Princeton, and they would have had more fun there. By the end of the leg, Team Glee were the last to arrive and sang their way off The Amazing Race 17.
The 4th leg started in Ghana, and headed the teams straight to the Arctic Circle (a 4500 mile trek). Most would choose to fly, however Nick thought the cabbie could help he and Vicki out by just driving them there. Told you it was a funny episode! Vicki quickly straightened him out, “...we need to just go to the airport!”
Kevin & Michael finished the 3rd leg in last place so they would encounter a Speed Bump on this leg. Luckily they were smart enough to find an earlier flight than the rest of the teams. They shared their good fortune with Mallory & Gary. Nat & Kat also found the earlier flight and shared the info with Brook & Claire. All four teams made the first flight and the tight connections for a big lead.

TAR 16 5th Leg: Louie & Michael Send Steve & Heidi Home
In what seemed like a short and easy leg of The Amazing Race, detectives Louie & Michael keep their lead for first place. They have a shot at winning if there are no speed contests in their future, Louie is sadly out of shape.
The 5th leg of TAR 16 started with a bus ride to an 'unknown destination' during the pit stop. It turned out to be France. As the racers got started they had to first find a certain bakery in a nearby town and break the bread open to find their next clue. There was no mention of breaking the bread to find the clue, so only the hungry found it fast.
Steve & Heidi were seen nursing Steve's injured knee during the bus ride, but were still farting rainbows. "I don't think this will slow us down at all," said Steve. Michael & Louie took note of the cocky remark.
