What’s on Network TV Tonight? (11/05/10)

ABC News Primetime What Would You Do? Reacting to Racists and BulliesIt’s Friday night! Are you ready for the weekend to start? At least we have some good TV to kick off the fun. ABC is on a roll, bringing back a couple of older favorites, while CBS relies on their strong Friday night prime time lineup.

Here’s what’s on network TV tonight:

ABC
8/7c: Super Nanny - new episode
Super nanny Jo visits the Atkinson family of Illinois. The family is dealing with five children including a defiant teen and a four year old with separation anxiety.
9/8c: What Would You Do? - new episode

10/9c: 20/20 - new episode

CBS

9/8c: CSI: New York - new episode
A sniper is on the prowl on the rooftops of NYC. Mac is forced to flashback to his worst ordeal, a terrible abduction, during the case investigation. Look for John Laroquette to join the cast for several episodes in November.

10/9c: Blue Bloods - new episode
Erin plans to take down a gang leader and upsets the family with her plan to use her law abiding brother as bait.

CW
8/7c: Smallville - new episode

9/8c: Supernatural - new episode
Mitch Pileggi guest stars as Samuel, Sam and Dean’s grandfather. Dean is suspicious of Samuel’s motives, but Sam is not convinced  that their grandfather is doing anything wrong.

FOX
8/7c: House - rerun
When a patient shows up with severe vomiting, House’s team find out she has more to hide. Her identity is in question and more questions pop up when they delve into her medical background.

9/8c: The Good Guys - new episode
Dan gets sidelined by a health scare while investigating a stolen painting at a doctor’s house. He winds up having to work the case from desk duty.

NBC
8/7c: School Pride - new episode
The Communication and Media Arts High School in Detroit gets a major renovation in an effort to save the school from permanent closure.

9/8c: Dateline NBC - new episode
Mary Winkler, the woman convicted of killing her pastor husband in 2006, is interviewed by Keith Morrison. Winkler was convicted of voluntary manslaughter.

Another fun filled night of network TV to help get your weekend started on the right track. I’m glad Super Nanny is back, I do like Jo. Though some of the families drive me nuts. It’s funny to see what happens after Jo introduces the tiniest bit of discipline into a family.

Medium looks like another good one too. The show has yet to have a bad episode though, so that’s nothing new for this cast. If you’ve never caught an episode, I highly recommend Medium for eating an hour of prime time on Friday nights.

One of my favorite shows right now is ABC’s What Would You Do? and the theme tonight rings close to home for me. I was a new bartender when I had a run in with a nursing mom wanting to drink Wild Turkey 101. I refused and was verbally attacked from all the bar patrons, one of whom called the bar owner at home over my decision to not serve the mother (her baby was parked in his car seat on the bar). I was given a verbal warning by the bar owner, and I threatened to walk out right then. Not wanting to work in his bar, the owner finally backed me up on the decision. It was an interesting predicament, to say the least.

So what are you watching on TV tonight?
