Jerry Van Dyke and Marsha Mason guest star as Frankie’s parents who come to visit for Christmas. Things get tense when the Heck’s idea of celebrating is not the same as Frankie’s.

Maddie comes up with a plan to skip Christmas at her parents’ lake house after seeing that Mia gets away with using her pregnancy as an excuse.
9/8c: Modern Family - new episode
Mitchell and Cameron have to deal with Lily’s antisocial behavior at the playground. Luke’s first dance sends Jay and Phil to the mall for a fun day of shopping.
9:30/8:30c: Cougar Town - new episode
Jules helps Bobby get his boat sea-worthy again to boost his self esteem. Andy plays caddie for Bobby in a golf tournament.
10/9c: Modern Family - rerun
Repeat of the second season premiere. Phil finally agrees to get rid of the old station wagon which prompts memories of what they’ve been through with the car.
10:30/9:30c: Cougar Town - rerun
Grayson has to deal with Jules’ empty nest syndrome. Elly tries not to get emotionally attached to her new nanny.

8/7c: Survivor Nicaragua - new episode
After two players quit the game last week, the tribe members start to form new alliances. One more goes home at tribal council.
9/8c: Criminal Minds - new episode
Hotch asks for help from an FBI cadet as the team chases a killer targeting women in a gated community in New Mexico.
10/9c: The Defenders - new episode
Nick tries to keep a bear from being euthanized. Both Nick and Pete defend a man who was caught transporting guns with serial numbers filed off.

8/7c: Victoria Secret Fashion Show - rerun
Katy Perry and Akon perform as supermodels take the stage to model the latest lingerie from Victoria’s Secret.
9/8c: Fashion Forward: Making It - new episode

When Lisa’s friend is kidnapped Chase has to contact Baptiste in a Russian prison for help finding her.
9/8c: Hell’s Kitchen - new episode
The final four chefs must create a balanced fusion meal for three top food judges. At dinner service tempers get so out of control Chef Ramsay has to step in and settle them down.

8/7c: The Sing-Off - new episode
The final eight groups perform “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon together before performing their solos. More groups leave the contest early as the competition heats up.
10/9c: Law & Order: SVU - rerun
A suspect cleared from an earlier case pushes the limits as he attempts to help detectives solve a rape case. Harvey Ian Cusick guest stars.
