What’s on Network TV Tonight? (Saturday 4/23/11)

‘Twas the night before Easter, and the bunny was packing. The fair on TV was seriously lacking.

Yes, it’s true. There are only a few new episodes to speak of on network TV tonight. Even SNL is a rerun. Chase fans will be happy to see their show return with a new episode though.

7/6c: The Ten Commandments - movie special
The original epic about the life of Moses, played by Charlton Heston. A true Easter classic movie. Yul Brynner and Anne Baxter also star.

CBS
8/7c: CSI: NY - rerun
“Death House” - The CSI’s are led to a penthouse, which is booby trapped, to find a mummified corpse.

9/8c: CSI: Miami - rerun
“Reality Kills” - CSI’s investigate the murder of a reality TV star during a promotional party for her series.

10/9c: 48 Hours Mystery - new episode
“Grave Injustice” - A report on the case of Anthony Graves who spent 18 years in a Texas prison for murders he did not commit.

8/7c: Cops - new episode
A bar fight in Amarillo, TX ends in someone getting Tasered by the police. A barking dog causes armed neighbors to argue heatedly in Florida.

8:30/7:30c: Cops - rerun
A high speed chase in Sacremento, CA after a hit and run. A drunk does battle with cops in Amarillo, TX.
9/8c: America’s Most Wanted - new episode

NBC
8/7c: Chase - new episode
“Father Figure” - The team hunts for a rogue cop who hunts single mothers to get close to their daughters. They use Annie as bait to catch him.

9/8c: Law & Order: LA - rerun
“East Pasadena” - A car chase ends with a dead woman in the driver’s seat.

10/9c: Law & Order: SVU - rerun
“Penetration” - Marcia Gay Harden guest stars as an FBI agent who gets raped while undercover. She teams with Benson and Stabler to catch her assailant.

11:30/10:30c: SNL - rerun
Jesse Eisenberg hosts with musical guest Nicki Manaj.

It’s a pretty lean night for network TV watchers. This may be a good night to pop in that DVD you’ve been meaning to watch, or catch up on your DVR shows from earlier in the week. Of course, if you’ve never seen The Ten Commandments, gather the family and sit down for an epic movie.
