Law & Order SVU: Season 15 Episode Guide

Let's take a look back at season 15 of SVU before the start of the next season. I'm glad NBC renewed this great drama for a 16th season! It may or may not be renewed for more, but with this many seasons of reruns to keep me occupied I can't ask for much more from a TV show.

Law & Order: SVU Season 15 episode guide

Episode 1: "Surrender Benson/Imprisoned Lives" is the gruesome continuation of the season 14 ending when William Lewis kidnapped Olivia in her apartment. Benson works him like any perp as the SVU team scrambles to find their whereabouts.

The second half is ripped from the headlines as three women and a young boy are found after being held captive for over 10 years.

Top 10 Detective Shows on TV

Of all the television genres, the detective shows are my favorite. A well-written crime drama keeps us on the edge of our seats for the entire show. Dick Wolf, creator of the Law & Order empire, has it down to an art form. There are only a few others that made my list of the best detective TV shows in history. By the way, these are listed in no particular order.

Law&Order

The writing and acting on Law & Order has combined to make this TV franchise the best of the best for detective shows. On this original drama the detectives of the NYC police department were only the focus of half the show, but still managed to be the best. Actors Jerry Orbach, S. Epatha Merkerson, and Chris Noth had us rooting for them weekly, even after 20 long seasons. The "ripped from the headlines" stories often gave us the justice we hoped for in reality, but rarely get. The detectives, even through a myriad of actor changes, remained real in appearances right to the end of the series.

I'm in Rerun Heaven With My Roku Streaming TV Device!

I had a problem with the cable guy. Actually he refused to hook up my house because it would be difficult for him. I went straight out and bought a Roku TV streaming device at Best Buy. Now I'm in rerun heaven.

I signed up for HuluPlus and Netflix. The combined cost is less than $20 per month. Take that cable guy!

On HuluPlus I get every episode of "Law&Order: SVU". Yep, all 15 seasons. This is probably my all time favorite TV show. I like to watch it when I wake up with back pain in the middle of the night. Now I can not only watch it, but I can watch any episode I want.

This week I was so happy to see that Netflix has added seasons one through six of "Criminal Minds". This might be my favorite show too. I can watch hours of either show. And now I don't need cable to have my own little marathon!

Check it out... I even get to watch every season of "Survivor" (remember a naked Richard Hatch?) So be prepared for some 'best of' posts.

Oh, you get movies too on the streaming TV device, but who needs those when you are in rerun heaven?

What's your favorite thing about streaming TV? Have you bought a streaming device yet? Let me know in the comment section below!

Law & Order: SVU Super Fans Unite!

I am a self proclaimed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) super fan! There. I wrote it down for all to see. I have seen every episode, and most several times. It often plays as background sound when played in a marathon on USA network.

What do I love most about SVU? The writing. They have a unique way of taking our favorite stars out of their normal element (comedians, good guys) and making them victims or bad guys. I'm not sure I explained that correctly. The writers on SVU seem to ask for more than your average acting job. And they get it every single week.
