Biggest Loser 11: Makeover Week With Fairy Godfather Tim Gunn

It was finally makeover week for the final five on Biggest Loser 11. This is always a fun week for contestants and us viewers. Seeing the finalists all dressed up and professionally made up shows how far they’ve really come. Sisters Hannah and Olivia changed their appearances the most I think. It was also nice to see Austin get a hair cut.

Tim Gunn was brought in like a Fairy Godfather should be, complete with Cinderella-like carriage. He told the BL11 finalists that he had brought them three wishes. The first was a makeover.

When each was brought back to the ranch in their new attire Gunn showed them surprise number two; a family member waiting to greet them. As always, it was an emotional time for all. Most of the folks from home have lost a lot of weight themselves. Good to see them taking it seriously.

There was a challenge tonight… a big challenge. Two BL11 contestants won new vans (Mazda5). The actual challenge was tough. There were two keys buried in sand a quarter of a mile from the vans. Contestants had to race back and forth with only one key at a time until both were found. Irene the Silent Ninja won the first car fairly fast. Then it came down to Olivia and Austin for the last key with only two sand castles left… Olivia had a 50-50 shot and won the second van.

At the weigh-in there was not much drama. Anyone who goes home from this group has done well at this point and no one is really playing a strategic game to win. Jay struggled again this week, losing only three pounds. It was down to him, Hannah or Olivia by the time Olivia stepped on the scale. If she lost much she would push Hannah below the yellow line.

Olivia lost four pounds, enough to keep herself safe at the ranch for another week. Then the Fairy Godfather Tim Gunn stepped back on the set to surprise everyone with their third wish… no one would go home this week on the Biggest Loser ranch. He theatrically zapped the yellow line away with his wand.

So we still have our final five for BL111: Hannah, Olivia, Irene, Jay and Austin. Jillian Michaels said she would focus on Jay and see why he has changed since coming back to the ranch. Look out Jay… Jillian has her sites set on you for next week!

For meeting one of her goals, Olivia sang opera on the scale as promised. Wow, what a performance. Bob Harper cried as most were seen moved by the performance. Olivia has an amazing voice and personality.The skinny lady has sung.
