Biggest Loser 11: The Final Four Without Austin

Tonight was a bit of a shocker at the final weigh-in. It has been for the most part this season on Biggest Loser 11. There were more mental challenges this week for the final five, with a $10,000 prize for the winner. Hannah and Olivia still seem to be running with momentum for the finish line.

It seemed like Jay was the obvious choice to go home this week after the last few weigh-ins have been less than stellar for him. It was Austin who fell short though. Losing only one pound in the weigh-in, young Austin was eliminated and will now have to compete for the home prize.

What’s on Network TV Tonight? (Tuesday 5/10/11)

Everything is new tonight on network TV, again making it a hard decision on what to watch. You better warm up the DVR for another great night. You won’t want to miss a thing (in the words of Steven Tyler). With reality TV, drama and tiny bit of comedy mixed in, everyone should be satisfied with tonight’s prime time lineup.

Biggest Loser 11: Makeover Week With Fairy Godfather Tim Gunn

It was finally makeover week for the final five on Biggest Loser 11. This is always a fun week for contestants and us viewers. Seeing the finalists all dressed up and professionally made up shows how far they’ve really come. Sisters Hannah and Olivia changed their appearances the most I think. It was also nice to see Austin get a hair cut.

Tim Gunn was brought in like a Fairy Godfather should be, complete with Cinderella-like carriage. He told the BL11 finalists that he had brought them three wishes. The first was a makeover.

Another night of all new episodes, including Glee and NCIS. Fans rejoice! We also start our weekly dose of reality TV and dancing. You should be able to find something decent to watch during prime time.

Biggest Loser 11: Kaylee Gets Eliminated and Rulon Quits

Things took another, slightly less dramatic turn tonight on Biggest Loser 11. There was the normal elimination drama, but it was not as surprising as was the quitting of Olympic champion Rulon Gardner. What should have been a fun week turned into a confusing one for all of the contestants on BL11.

It was a blast from the past seasons of Biggest Loser returning in small groups to help train the contestants. Most notably was car pulling wonder woman Tara Costa. Tonight proved only that she is stronger than ever, and she said she is planning on doing World Ironman this year.

What’s on Network TV Tonight? (Tuesday 4/26/11)

There is a lot of great TV on tonight, including… hold on to your hats Glee fans, there’s an all new 90 minute episode on tonight just for you! Tonight also boast a lot of dancing, singing and weight loss for reality TV fans. In fact, only CBS has a full plate of reruns on schedule.

Apparently there is not enough filler on the elimination show, so now we see a full hour of more outtakes and special performances from this season’s cast. At least it’s a fun group, as usual, so it should be fun to watch.

Biggest Loser 11: Teams Dissolve and Ken Goes Home

Biggest Loser: Couples stayed in New Zealand this week, but moved the set to Queenstown. Beautiful scenery backed every grueling workout on BL11. That had to make it a little easier. Not. After last week’s dismal results on the scale, the BL trainers were out for blood, or pounds, whichever came first. Brett parachuted in to meet the players on the beach. There was no mention of why he left in a fake elimination.

Alison Sweeney announced right away that we are down to the individual competition now. No more teams of any kind. Except of course, some teams are reunited now since it started as couples.  Austin and Ken were still together. So were Hannah and Olivia. Little did they know one of those teams would be broken up soon.

What’s on Network TV Tonight? (Tuesday 4/19/11)

This Tuesday night has some great news for Glee fans, a brand new episode airs! Glee fans rejoice! In fact, CBS is the only channel airing reruns tonight. There is definitely something for everyone on TV tonight.

Biggest Loser 11: Off to New Zealand and Moses Goes Home

The remaining Biggest Loser contestants were in for thrills tonight as they were surprised by a two week trip to Auckland, New Zealand. Austin earned a first class ticket and the rest few in regular class, but hey, they got to go to New Zealand! There were still challenges and workouts and the dreaded weigh-in. The blue team lost and Moses fell on his sword for Olivia to stay. Moses was eliminated from BL 11 while they were still in Auckland, where his father lives.

Austin won his first class ticket by guessing closest to a correct trivia question at the start of the flight. “How tall is the sky Tower in Auckland?” It’s 1076ft tall for those who need to know.

Right off the plane it seemed the contestants were put to the test. We saw the first challenge was to climb the stairs to the top of the Sky Tower, all 1027 of them. When they got to the top they were greeted by Jillian Michaels hanging precariously out over nothingness then she free fell to the ground . More than a couple of the BL11 players looked sick and chose to walk back down.

There are a lot of new episodes on TV tonight, unfortunately for Glee fans that show is not airing one yet. Hold on, they’ll return soon enough. I promise, or at least FOX promises. Take the night to catch an episode of a new show you’ve been missing during the time slot instead (if you’ve seen the episode, that is.) And don’t feel alone, CW fans are still waiting for their new season to start too.

8/7c: Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution - new episode
The season two premier has Jamie Oliver taking his food revolution, promoting healthy eating in schools, to Los Angeles. I want to keep liking this show, but it seems like he’s making the U.S. look bad… maybe we are the ones doing that all by ourselves.

Biggest Loser 11: Courtney Is Not the Biggest Loser

Tonight the pressure was on young Courtney to say in the Biggest Loser. After Jen’s dismissal last week, she was the only one left on the red team with Brett, the new trainer. The weigh-in seemed to be going in her favor. The green team had a weight loss of only seven pounds with three people and seemed destined to go to elimination.

Courtney only had to lose two pounds to stay at the Biggest Loser ranch. It was heart breaking when she stepped on the scale and a -1 showed up. Never have the words “you are not the biggest loser” rang so true as they did tonight. Courtney is a true winner.

What’s on Network TV Tonight? (Tuesday 4/05/11)

Tonight is a mix of new episodes and reruns. Glee fans will be disappointed to know that there is another rerun on tonight. I believe the new episodes start next week, so hang in there. ABC, CBS and NBC all have at least a few new episodes tonight. Of course, those are mostly reality shows.

Biggest Loser 11: Sarah Gets Voted Off the Ranch

Red vs. Black was not even close this week on Biggest Loser 11. No amount of rooting for the ladies could save them at the final weigh-in. When the dust settled the black team had to vote to send one of their own home. Marci's plan to fall on her sword for the team were ruined when she accidentally won immunity with the highest percentage of weight loss on the black team. Sarah, weaker than the other players in the Biggest Loser gym, was sent packing from the ranch on BL11. Of course she looked fabulous on the update. Can't wait to see her on the finale!
