The America's Got Talent 2010 finale night was a bit shocking, and of course, overly dramatic and drawn out. In the end there could only be one winner, and that turned out to be Mississippi singer Michael Grimm. I was more than a little surprised. The singing phenom Jackie Evancho had to settle for second place. Both will be stars, I'm sure.
The fluff filling for the two hour show included a final performance from each of the final four contestants with their idol. The acts didn't seem to get the memo on that part though, as all were excited to find out who their idols were.
Prince Poppycock was paired up with Donna Summer. I can see that. It was a good performance from Poppycock and may have won him the contest had he done it last night. Summers looked beautiful, but seemed a little uncomfortable. She had warned Prince Poppycock not to upstage her, maybe she felt he did.

AGT 2010: Final 4 Perform for a Million Dollar Prize
Tonight the America’s Got Talent 2010 final four faced off for the title of “Best New Act in America”, and a million dollars. The final four are: Jackie Evancho, Prince Poppycock, Fighting Gravity and Michael Grimm.
I think Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho lead the talent area, but all four acts have huge followings so it’s anybody’s contest.
1. Prince Poppycock - Opera singer
What can you say about Poppycock? I don’t think he will run away with this contest. I think he’s good and verging on great, and perfect for Vegas. I’m just not sure he can pull the young votes needed to win. Tonight will have to be amazing in the first position. He went back to his original opera. I think it was a good choice. The costume screamed Vegas, of course. It was a little boring, especially by Prince Poppycock standards. Piers Morgan buzzed him, wow.

AGT 2010: Jackie Evancho & Fighting Gravity Glide to the Finals
This week the competition was the highest it's been on America's Got Talent. With a stacked night there were no sure things. Well, maybe one. We'll get to her in a little bit. Nick Cannon got the show started by calling out the first group.
Debra Romer, Michael Grasso, Murray and Nate Kenyon took the stage. My heart sank knowing if even one of these acts went through, one of my favorites would go home. If I had to choose a winning act from these four, it would be Murray hands down. Grasso repeated a trick Murray did earlier, but without a live tiger. Michael Grasso pulled out the win, but likely more due to his sad story. In his intro he told of being a triple kidney transplant survivor. The story wins.
LaReve took the stage for an outstanding performance. Note to all future dance and acrobat groups on AGT: this is what works in Vegas, nothing less. The display of strength was something to behold. Howie Mandel seemed to find a bond with the group of shaved heads saying, "LaReve is French for strong, bald Jew."

AGT 2010: Judges' Comments for Week 2 of Live Semifinals
Tonight was the second week for live semifinalists on AGT 2010. Here is how the night went down and what the judges had to say about each act.
1. Alice Tan Riddley - Adult Singer
Tonight Alice Tan Ridley sang “I Have Nothing” with all the heart and soul of the best R&B singers wrapped up together. The audience stood for Alice, and I cheered at home. She gives me goosebumps.
Howie Mandel: “...you have touched the heart of a lot of people... I think that says it all...”
Sharon Osbourne: “...it’s been so long since I’ve heard that song sung that way...from one 57
year old to another, you look fabulous...”
Piers Morgan: “...for a first up tonight, incredibly strong performance...”
2. Haspop - Adult Dancer
I think this is the most talented dancer ever on AGT. Haspop’s moves are so big and exaggerated he can easily be seen and takes advantage of the stage. It was a weird dance tonight, but he still has pop (it had to be done). Piers Morgan buzzed him, huhph!
Howie Mandel: “...I disagree, I think it’s amazing... the ability to add story and mime at this level is great... people gotta vote...”
Sharon Osbourne: “...I just didn’t get it... I hope America votes for you...”
Piers Morgan: “...I didn’t really get it tonight... it was all a bit weird for me.. I might be the stupid one here, but I don’t think so...”

AGT 2010: Jackie Evancho's First Performance on Live TV
Watch young Jackie Evancho steal the judges (and audiences) hearts on her first visit to America's Got Talent 2010. This 10 year old had the moment of the season so far. Jackie Evancho was the top vote-getter on YouTube for the AGT auditions. America knows talent!
So what do you think? Do we have a new leader on AGT 2010?

AGT 2010: Jackie Evancho, Dan Sperry & Maestro Alexander Bui Advance
After reading many of the reviews of last night's America's Got Talent YouTube contestants, I think we may have been a little harsh. Myself included. I forgot these people have never been in front of a major audience, let alone on live TV with judges. That being said, the rules are what they are and they play no favorites. So four more acts were advanced to the 2010 AGT semifinal rounds.
Nick Cannon called out the first group of YouTube contestants: Pup, Pizza Patt, Maestro Alexander Bui and Austin Anderson. Cannon asked Sharon Osbourne who she thought America voted for. "Oh, I just don't know!" said Osbourne. Seriously? How stupid does Sharon Osbourne think the American public, even those that watch and vote on talent shows, really is?
