It’s Friday night, but the new shows aren’t stopping for the weekend… yet anyway. Tonight has another great offering of new episodes on most of the network stations. You may even need to fire up the DVR tonight. That’s a good sign for a Friday.

Here’s what’s on network TV tonight:

ABC
8/7c: Shark Tank - new episode
Entrepreneur hopefuls pitch aromatic lip gloss and a lighted decal invention. Find out what the sharks suggest to one person deep in debt and another trying to revive a business that was successful in the past.

9/8c: Primetime: What Would You Do? - new episode
An overweight teen and her mom discuss gastric bypass surgery in a restaurant. An older employee at a grocery store gets flustered with a scanner problem. An alcoholic tries to buy a drink after a celebration for a year’s sobriety.

10/9c: 20/20 - new episode
An interview with Chicago Bear defensive back Shaun Gayle on the 2007 murder of his girlfriend Roni Reuter.

CBS
8/7c: CHAOS - new episode
The agents must infiltrate an arms dealer’s business to keep him from selling warheads.

9/8c: CSI: NY - rerun
When a jewelry robbery goes wrong the CSI’s are called in to investigate a powerful attorney.

10/9c: Blue Bloods - rerun
The body of a high paid escort turns up in the river only hours after she spoke to Danny on the phone asking for help.

CW
8/7c: Smallville - new episode
Lois must turn to Emil after Clark is sent to an alternate reality.

9/8c: Supernatural - new episode
The sinking of the Titanic is prevented by Balthazar, but Fate steps in to make sure those who were to die still do.

FOX
8/7c: Kitchen Nightmares - new episode
Chef Ramsay is off to Pasadena, CA to help the owners of the Kingston Café get their Caribbean cuisine back in good shape.

9/8c: Fringe - new episode
It’s time for the team to take extreme measures to get William Bell’s consciousness out of Olivia’s body.

NBC
8/7c: Friday Night Lights - new episode
In the season five opener Eric has to deal with the high expectations for the team’s new season. Two more graduates head off to college.

9/8c: Dateline NBC - new episode
First, a cold case is revisited and Keith Morrison reports on the endless work of the detective who won’t stop till he has the killer of the 21 year old woman. Next, two brothers are killed in mysterious conditions at different times and locations.

I’ll say it again, if you haven’t watched Shark Tank yet, you are missing the best reality TV show on the air (sorry Chef Ramsay). One of the coolest things is that the sharks actually live tweet while Shark Tank is airing, so follow #SharkTank to read their live advice.

I do like Kitchen Nightmares too. Anyone who has worked in a restaurant can appreciate the problems and solutions Chef Ramsay instills in the owners. Both shows actually give more than drama, they give a lesson.

So, what are you watching on network TV tonight?
