Survivor Nicaragua: Reunion Show Recap

A recreation of the logo for the first America...Image via Wikipedia
After Fabio was named the winner of Survivor Nicaragua, the entire cast was reunited for the final hour. This is the time we often learn more about what was left on the editing room floor during the season, and why some votes went the way they did. Then there are the awkward times when we learn a little too much about the Survivor contestants. It’s always a fun show.

Jeff Probst started with Fabio, asking him if the nickname has stuck. “You started out here as Judson. Has the new name stuck?” Jud told us that he is now Fabio, likely forever. Then we got to see a picture of Jud in his modeling days pre- Survivor Nicaragua. Yum! This was also the time when Fabio confessed to being from a family of artists. His father invented “something” and his grandfather designed the folding card table for Samsonite (I believe he said that company). No need for Jud to take care of his family, it appears.

Survivor Nicaragua: Fabio Wins & Jane is America's Favorite Player

After 39 days in the rain forest we finally see the Survivor Nicaragua players all cleaned up tonight. After a couple of intense Tribal Councils and a little more back stabbing, Fabio was pronounced the youngest winner of the $1 million Survivor prize. Jane won the $100,000 prize for America's Favorite Player votes.

Here's how the Survivor Nicaragua finale and reunion show went down:

After a short recap, the final five entered the Immunity Challenge. It was a  puzzle challenge and Fabio continued his reign of terror (albeit giggling terror). Winning easily over the other three, Fabio secured his spot in the final four.

Survivor Nicaragua: Good-bye Coach Jimmy Johnson

Survivor 4 Pack (Borneo / The Australian Outback / All-Stars / Pearl Islands)In a bit of a reality TV shocker, former Dallas Cowboy coach Jimmy Johnson was voted off Survivor Nicaragua in tonight’s tribal council ceremony. Drama ran deep all night long on the younger tribe, but struck the deepest at the final meeting of the night.

Naonka came out swinging right from the start. Shown walking back from tribal council last week, she was voiced over saying they were all scared now. She has the majority in her alliance, so Naonka and her drama are likely safe for a few more weeks. Survivor Nicaragua producers are probably hoping she causes drama now, with Jimmy J. gone.

Survivor: Nicaragua Shannon Shows His True Colors (and they aren’t rainbow!)

Survivor 3: Africa - The Complete SeasonSurvivor Nicaragua started of normal enough, but took a right turn at crazy and ended up in Homophobic-town. It was not a pretty show tonight, but it was entertaining for a while.

Let’s start with the older tribe (actually called Espada, but if Probst isn’t using the right names, neither am I!)....

Holly felt bad about voting off Wendy last week at tribal council, and she acted more and more strange as the night progressed. First she heard Dan making fun of her, so she decided to take her own revenge. Holly took Dan’s shoes, filled them with sand and sunk them in the lagoon water. I kind of thought it was genius to fill them with sand first, I’m so stupid they would have floated up on me and I would have been busted and crying in seconds.

Survivor Nicaragua Premier: Older Vs Younger

Survivor All-Stars - The Complete SeasonSurvivor Nicaragua kicked off tonight with a new team line up pitting old against young. The youngsters took full control tonight at the first immunity challenge. One more thing, did you know Jimmy Johnson is on Survivor Nicaragua?

It quickly became obvious that this would be the season of 'Jimmy' on Survivor. We got to see and hear a lot from the former NFL coach. It was impressive to hear him give a team motivational speech. It was underwhelming to see him blowing chunks in the middle of the night. TMI.
