After one of the strangest seasons of Hell’s Kitchen, it all came down to tonight. A battle between Nona and Russell for the head chef job at LA Market and $250,000. The season 8 Hell’s Kitchen finale seemed to go by quickly, and when the dust settled Nona’s door handle turned revealing her as the winner. Russell looked pretty devastated, but I’m sure his ego quickly boosted him back up.
The first challenge of the night was a psyche out by Chef Ramsay. Both Nona and Russell were loaded onto a helicopter and flown into downtown LA to meet Chef Ramsay. On the top of a building where chopper landed he told the two they would be free falling off the side. Russell began to look for a quick exit and told Chef Ramsay that he was having issues with this challenge (“I need toilet paper... I just ****** my pants!”). Nona, on the other hand, had to be pulled back from the building’s edge as she prepared to do whatever was asked of her. This blind ambition may have sealed the deal for her Hell's Kitchen win.

Hell’s Kitchen Season 8: Russel Vs. Nona in the Finals
Here’s how the night went:

Hell's Kitchen Season 8: Gail Wins & Loses
Here's a quick recap, or scroll down to watch the Hell's Kitchen videos.
Russell, Nona, Jillian, Trev and Gail had to make a signature dish to serve at a "power lunch". They went to get ingredients, and then were told the lunch would be prepared and served from food trucks in a parking lot. It would not affect most of the chefs, but one would have trouble with the ambiance.

Hell's Kitchen Season 8: Sabrina is Finally Gone!
The first individual challenge required the chefs to cook an amuse-bouche for five Michelin Star judges. For those of us who aren't French (or pretentious), is a small appetizer for upscale cuisine. The cooks had 30 minutes to prepare any dish they chose as an app. The judges freaked them out the most, as Jillian said, "I thought Michelin was a tire!" M'kay, tells you what Chef Ramsay is dealing with this season.

Hell's Kitchen Season 8: Bye-Bye Boris!
Image via WikipediaThe second hour was important to Chef Ramsay, being the 100th episode. He invited four previous Hell's Kitchen winners back to dine at the tables inside the kitchen. Watching their reactions to the inevitable reamings doled out by Ramsay was priceless. They could see the rants coming from a mile away.

Hell’s Kitchen: Emily and Melissa Get the Boot
After two more nearly disastrous dinner services in Hell’s Kitchen season 8, two more female chefs hit the streets (fresh off the boot toe of Gordon Ramsay). Emily bit the dust first, and showed as much emotion as stink bug in September. Melissa followed in the second hour after showing she would cost a restaurant owner a ton of money in spoilage.
Speaking of spoilage, ghetto talker Sabrina continues to hang on for dear life in Hell’s Kitchen. In fact at one point Chef Ramsay declared her “the best of the worst”. Sabrina accepted the praise like he had declared her the winner of Hell’s Kitchen season 8. Not quite, Missy.
The first hour involved hosting a prom for Beverly Hills High School. The three kids on the prom committee were in charge of taste testing the entrees and apps to be served at the prom dinner. These aren’t your ordinary high school kids, as was proven by their food selections. Seared tuna and fusion food were at the top of the list. No burgers or fries for these kids.

Hell's Kitchen: Raj, We Barely Knew Ya!
Here we go, I'll post the entire two hour episode for you to enjoy right here! Check it out: Hell's Kitchen: Episode 3
(I'll type a brief synopsis of each video for those without enough time to watch the entire show)
If you love the insanity that is Raj, you will love this first segment of Hell's Kitchen. He is at peak crazy levels. Chef Ramsay does seem to be concentrating a little more on health this season.... psych! He made 'em all get up early to get a quick physical by an EMT before they cooked breakfast for 50 EMTs. The first team to finish serving would win rewards. The women start off big.

Hell's Kitchen: Chef Ramsay Cuts It to the Final Two
![]() | |
| Picture by Dave Pullig |
The reward challenge was a taste and recreate competition. Since none of these cooks have great taste abilities it was a coin flip for the winner. Jay came closest but chose a flank steak instead of Venison for the main protein, a fatal error in the challenge. Holli eked out the win even with the wrong sauce (since it was a lesser error than Jay's).
Ben got mad, and even more arrogant (I did not think that was possible). He worked silently through the punishment portion, not a big change. When it came time to prep for dinner though, Ben claimed his back was too hurt to continue. He slept through the day and called in a chiropractor. All for naught, he still said he was giving up and went as far as to congratulate the other and concede victory (obviously to Jay).
After a sit down with Gordon Ramsay though, Ben had a miraculous recovery. They did not show much of the meeting in Ramsay's office but I'm assuming it went something like this:

Hell's Kitchen: Nilka's Meltdown Leaves Her Out of the Final 6
It was another night of meltdowns on Hell's Kitchen. Some by Chef Ramsay, most by the contestants. The biggest one of the night turned into a full blown temper tantrum, and surprisingly was not thrown by Ramsay.
With Fran finally gone and Autumn back in the red kitchen all was rainbows and unicorns. Well almost. The red team did manage to finally win a challenge, no thanks to Ben. The man who would be king had his own issues in the red kitchen. Every thing Ben touched turned to crap in Hell's Kitchen last night.
Holli became the quiet underdog of the season when Chef Ramsay chose her dish as the best of the reward challenge. It also earned her a ticket to the dining room during service so she was spared the tantrum.
The blue team freaked out when the three of them did not get both kitchens prepped in time for service. There was no way it could be done along with punishment. Luckily the teams were merged for dinner service.

Hell's KItchen: Chef Ramsay Is the Fran Exterminator
Tonight started like any other night in Hell's Kitchen: screaming, yelling, no team work or coordination. Ben has taken complete control of the women on the red team, or so he thinks. Jay is happy as a lark that Ben is having issues.
Autumn had a major meltdown on the blue team... again. Chef Ramsay is still backing her for some reason. It appears she has all but given up on winning Hell's Kitchen. The men are overpowering her in cooking skills and aggressiveness.
Fran continued her downward spiral in the red kitchen. At one point she was overheard saying, "...send me home". She was called back to the store room for a conference with Chef Ramsay (ass chewing proceeded). His entire point to her, and everyone, is "Don't give up!"
After yet another horrible dinner service Chef Ramsay declared there was no winner and both teams would need to nominate players for elimination.

Hell's Kitchen: Fran is the Kitchen Cockroach
This week's Hell's Kitchen double header was full of joy and good cheer. Well a very short period of the two hour event went that way. In addition the now weekly raw risotto, we got to see a little wiener (sorry Ed).
Just to keep you in suspense, we'll review the first hour of Hell's Kitchen now.
Ben took over in the red kitchen and seemed to get them pointed in the right direction. The red team managed to win their first reward in a showdown between Ben and blue-haired Jay.
Things always fall apart for them when the customers hit the dining room though. Tonight was no different. Fran was in chaos again, and no communication with anyone on the team. Siobhan continued her subdued, fumbling ways throughout service.
Blue-haired Jay had his own issues as he tried to take over the blue kitchen. He immediately cut his finger, and nearly passed out. It was a deep cut.
Then there was Salvatore... poor Sal. He was just so terrified of Chef Ramsay that he remained his own worst enemy. In his own little fake Italian world, Salvatore pissed off Chef Ramsay for the last time tonight.
Chef Ramsay declared the blue kitchen the winners of the night, and the red kitchen immediately nominated Fran and Siobhan to leave Hell's Kitchen. Ramsay considered his options and turned on Salvatore, sitting with the men. Salvatore jumped up and took off his jacket like a whipped pup. He actually looked relieved to be going home.

Hell's Kitchen Season 6: Season Finale 10/13/2009
Dave Wins Hell's Kitchen Season 6
Tonight was the two hour season 6 finale of Hell's Kitchen. The final three to do battle: Kevin, Dave and Ariel. The prize: $250,000 and head chef position at Iraxi (Gordon Ramsay's newest elite restaurant) in Whistler, British Columbia.
Kevin has been my hands down favorite for professionalism throughout the season. He just seems to know how to operate a kitchen. Dave has surprised me with his ability to come up with extravagant dishes in Hell's Kitchen reward challenges. Ariel... I thought she was stronger in the beginning. I don't think she will make it to the final hour.
Hell's Kitchen started with the reward challenge. Each chef had to prepare a dish from a country they chose blindly. Ariel drew Chinese, Dave drew Indian and Kevin drew Mexican.
The chefs had 45 minutes to present a unique main course for Chef Ramsay and three guests: Vikas Kharman, Thomas Ortega and Eddie Wong. All premier chefs.
Ariel presented her Chinese duck w/noodle and sauce first. It did not go over well as the sauce was "too watery". It even looked watery on the plate so it did not present well.
Kevin forgot the sauce to his Mexican dish, but still got high praise for flavor.
Dave was scared from the start of the challenge, having never cooked Indian food. He apologized for before he served, never a good sign. Dave explained that he thought India worshiped cows so he chose a pork dish. He was quickly corrected; pork is not a good meal for Muslims. He should have chosen chicken or seafood. Well, it did not matter. Dave won on flavor... and what else really counts in a food competition.
Dave won a set of Dinour cookware and lunch from the top chefs. He also got to eat with his fiance and sister.
The final three dinner service had the finalists each taking a turn at the pass. Working in place of Chef Ramsay in the position they would hold in the Iraxi restaurant.
Kevin took over first. He showed a laid back style and it nearly bit him in the ass. Ariel had trouble with her apps... he got his payback later. Kevin passed all of his quality control tests.
Dave took over at the pass and got things off to an obnoxious start. Screaming and kicking like a Ramsay mini-me. Things got tense, but food started moving. Dave missed his first two quality control tests. He bounced back with an easier one, and I think it showed that Chef Ramsay was more likely to choose Dave to win. Ramsay took him outside the kitchen to chastise him in a more private way.
Ariel took the reigns and Kevin basically went on break. He completely forgot how to cook scallops.... seriously? Kevin completely stalled the kitchen and there was just not a thing to do. Ariel did not kick and scream and that likely cost her the Hell's Kitchen competition.
It was an easy choice for Chef Ramsay: Kevin and Dave move into the Hell's Kitchen season 6 finale. Ariel was allowed to keep her jacket and Ramsay had nothing but good things to say about her.
In the second and final hour of Hell's Kitchen season 6, Dave really started to shine. He had been the hard worker throughout the season, but Kevin had shown more originality in dishes. Originality doesn't matter if the taste is not there.
They dropped the whole 'design your dream restaurant', which was stupid anyway. Now the final 2 chefs competed in a taste test for a reward.
Dave made a venison dish with vegetable puree.
Kevin made lobster (something fishy about Kevin).
Dave won the final taste test judged by five well known (in the chef world) executives and food critics. Of course they made it a 2-2 tie with the final vote deciding it, but I think all five judges wanted Dave's dish.
So it all came down to the final night's service in Hell's Kitchen. Each finalist making their own menu.
Dave kept things simple: Dave's menu (I'll post links as soon as they become available)
Kevin kept things artsy (and guess what, fishy!): Kevin's menu
Teams of previous cast members were chosen.
Dave: Ariel, Robert, Suzanne
Kevin: Van, Amanda, Sabrina
Dave had an aggressive start and only a few missteps by Robert. Food was flying out.
Kevin had an abysmal start with Amanda having a complete meltdown over scallops. She was chosen for her strength in fish cooking...oops! Finally Van came to the rescue, of all people. Van would make an impressive chef behind a strong head chef. He pulled the whole kitchen together like a pro.
The final was a pretty easy call. Not much was mentioned by Chef Ramsay about the 'taste' vote from the diners. He did say it was the closest call in Hell's Kitchen history (imagine that). In the end, Dave's door opened.
Congratulations Dave!
*Best part of the Hell's Kitchen finale was the end... cut outs of Gordon Ramsay saying "I ain't no bitch" at various times throughout the competition. It was hilarious!

Hell's Kitchen Season 6: Chef Ramsay Cuts the Staff to Final 3
Tonight Chef Gordan Ramsay brought us one step closer to the season 6 finale of Hell's Kitchen. After yet another poor dinner performance, Tennille became the latest victim of Ramsay's hatchet. I was a little surprised at Tennille's elimination from Hell's Kitchen. It was definitely the correct decision by Ramsay, but I thought Tennille would do better during service.
The reward challenge was preparing a vegetarian dish.... the chefs did not know (though they should have) that they were cooking for kids. Kevin was in trouble immediately with his beet dish. Kids + beets = ick.
Tennille won the reward challenge overwhelmingly with a pureed vegetable dish. There ya go, puree veggies for the kids, winner every time!
My pick is still Kevin to win Hell's Kitchen season 6. Dave is just annoying to me. I know Dave has not made many mistakes and is working with one arm. I also think Chef Ramsay is taking that into account and not screaming at Dave as much. Kevin seems much more mature, and able to handle the stresses of running a major kitchen.
I'll post the Hell's Kitchen Episode 13 videos here as soon as they are available.

Hell's Kitchen: Suzanne Goes Home 9/29/2009
Tonight Hell's Kitchen started off the top 5 with a reward challenge that any chef would kill for. A photo shoot for Bon Appetit magazine. The Hell's Kitchen chefs had to make a signature dish that would be judged by the editors of Bon Appetit magazine. First the chefs would be judged on presentation; the final two would be judged on taste.
Here are the Hell's Kitchen Top 5 recipes
Tennille was out from the start when her fish broke while plating. Her 'pile o' fish' dish did not get her any awards.
Suzanne made.... a salad. Yes, that should get you into a magazine. It has to look like a salad from Eden... hers did not.
Dave became completely tongue-tied for the judges. What he lost in words, he evidently made up for in presentation. The judges were torn between Dave and Ariele for top two.
Ariel had a nice light dish that was very photograph friendly.
Kevin did a beautiful fish (what else) and fruit. It was presented beautifully and came out in first place.
Joining Kevin in the tasting part of the competition was Ariel's dish. The judges were torn and chose not to decide. Both Kevin and Ariel won the reward and the photo shoot. Their dishes will be featured in Bon Appitit magazine.
On to dinner service. It was another night of hell in the kitchen. Starting with overcooked rice and risoto from Kevin (what?!) and Tennille (I really want to call them Captain and Tonille)
Suzanne overcooked scallops and undercooked fish. Bad, bad mistakes from a chef in Hell's Kitchen.
Ariel has fallen apart. She was my early pick to finish with Kevin in the Hell's Kitchen finale, but has gotten worse every week. This week, pink chicken... oh BLEEP!
Dave did not get called out tonight, but sorta played helper monkey to everyone else. Not hard to hide under the radar. His arm may send him home next week.
No one chef won the night. Chef Ramsay finally told them all to just decide on two to go on the chopping block. I really thought Gordan Ramsay was going to stroke out at one point during service. This has got to be his hardest season yet.
Ariel and Suzanne were nominated to go up face Chef Ramsay for possible elimination. Suzanne was finally sent packing from Hell's Kitchen. It was her 4th time facing Ramsay and as he said, "Suzanne had a red jacket, a blue jacket and a black jacket...and now she has no jacket."

Hell's Kitchen Double Header 9/22/2009
Two Go Home on Hell's Kitchen
in a Double Episode
Tuesday FOX 9/22/2009
in a Double Episode
Tuesday FOX 9/22/2009
I'm so glad Hell's Kitchen is finally back after a short hiatus. Don't do that to me FOX, I need my Gordon Ramsay fix.
We joined the final 7 chef-wanna-be's with Suzanne being shunned to the men's team. She now found herself with Van, Dave and Kevin. These guys are strong and want to win Hell's Kitchen... they plan to eat her alive.
The red team was now Tennille, Ariel and Sabrina. I think Ariel is the strongest female contestant by far. Tennille is good, but way to proud. You gotta be great to be that loud.
Sabrina... how is Sabrina still on Hell's Kitchen? I'm not sure how she got on the show at all. Not saying she is not a brilliant cook, but a line cook in a restaurant? Nope.
Chef Ramsay make it quick and painless. Van actually had a horrible night trying to cook halibut, but so did Sabrina (imagine that). Sabrina was sent home from Hell's Kitchen first tonight.
Episode 2:
Well I opened my cyber mouth and stuck my cyber foot right in it.... Ariel fell about tonight in Hell's Kitchen. Tonille completely took over, and Dave helped to save the night.
In a first ever, Chef Gordon Ramsay actually walked out of the kitchen... out of the restaurant... right in the middle of dinner service.
This has been a stronger season than some, but the chefs just can't work together to get through a dinner service.
The two teams were merged to the Black team. Everyone for themselves, including the diners in Hell's Kitchen.
After a 'Taste & Create' reward competition, won by Suzanne and Dave, things went to hell quickly. Van has been slowly losing his mind throughout the season. Fighting with Jean-Phillippe, who he now refers to as 'whistle pants', and blowing up at everyone.
Van was haunted by raw halibut, again. Ariel had a horrible night as well, but it was her first. Between Van's raw fish and Ariel burning a lettuce garnish, Chef Ramsay flew off like never before. Ramsay called his sous chef Scott and away they stormed.
Out of the blue rides in Tennille. Taking over Hell's Kitchen like a pro. Kevin came in from the front (an obvious test from Ramsay). Dave stepped up for Ariel.
Suzanne proved herself absolutely useless.
Suzanne refused to even plate food for the struggling kitchen. She wins quote of the night for, "I can't imagine you have to be so perfect to win this thing." Um, the hope is that you will be this perfect every night. Gordon Ramsay is putting his name on you and your food.
In the end, Van's hot head and lack of fish cooking abilities got him booted from Hell's Kitchen for good. Suzanne should be next, but Tennille and Dave are going to have 'words' over Van being nominated.
The finalists are: Kevin, Dave, Tennille, Ariel and Suzanne

Hell's Kitchen 5 Finale: Danny Wins!
Hell's Kitchen Season 5 Finale
FOX 9/8c 5/14/2009
FOX 9/8c 5/14/2009
Danny and Paula faced off in the Season 5 finale of Hell's Kitchen. Danny came out on top and won the grand prize: $250,000 and a Head Chef job at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ.
This was the oddest season for Hell's Kitchen ever. I have watched every episode of the series so far and was least impressed with this season's culinary skills. No slammin' on Danny, he definitely showed huge growth through the show. I was quite impressed with his final service and running of the pass. Danny showed leadership rather than arrogance, a true growth for him.
The cocky 23 year old from Edgewood, FL showed real emotion at the end of the show. It was obviously important to him to make his (late) mom and dad (who was present) proud.
Chef Gordon Ramsay showed his softer side for the Hell's Kitchen finally. He always does, the big softy. Ramsay told Paula how close it was in the obligatory drama draw out for the ending. The kitchen scenes did not appear to be very close at all. Partly due to the teams, partly due to Paula's lack of leadership from the start of service.
At the end Gordon Ramsay unveiled the new Hell's Kitchen Wall of Fame. All of the previous Hell's Kitchen winners joined Danny in hanging his picture proudly.

Hell's Kitchen Final Four Again...With a Wedding Proposal
Ben Gets Eliminated from Hell's Kitchen
FOX Thursday 9/8c 4/23/2009
Danny is shaping up as the leader of this season's Hell's Kitchen. Though none of the contestants have as much kitchen savvy as past seasons. After a poor showing from Andrea and Ben last week, both were given a second chance. Chef Ramsay had the obligatory harsh warnings for both. Gordon Ramsay is turning out to be all bark and no bite this season.FOX Thursday 9/8c 4/23/2009
Danny pulled ahead and showed his taste ability in the 'Taste it Cook it" reward challenge. It came down to Paula and Danny. Chef Ramsay chose Danny's merely based on the fact that he used fish stock. Gordon Ramsay took Danny on a bi-plane adventure.
The night service was again a rough one. Though there was a wedding proposal (and acceptance, Yay!), we were not even treated to what had to be a great Chef Ramsay meltdown. Cut to the closed kitchen where Chef berates them all and tells them to come up with the person they thought should leave tonight. It won't matter, he will do what he wants, he just wants to see how ugly it will get. These people have no drive to win.
It came down to Andrea and Ben again. Ben was let go with a nice pep talk from Chef Ramsay. The top three left in Hell's Kitchen are: Danny, Paula and Andrea. I'm not sure any of them are ready to run a kitchen, let alone a 5 star restaurant.
Next week will separate the chefs from the cooks as each finalist takes a turn at the past. Don't miss Hell's Kitchen , FOX Thursday 9/8c.

Christina stayed in game mode, tasting and memorizing the dishes as she ate. Her mother even tried to advise her on a sauce ingredient (but did Christina listen to her mother, nooooo!)
Petrozza was in tears with his father and his girlfriend (not sure, but I think it was the father's girlfriend). He did not even notice the food.
Same with Corey, she had her boyfriend and mom visiting so she was busy chatting.
When the challenge was to recreate the dish, again it came down to Christina and Petrozza. Corey used the wrong meat... oops! Petrozza had no puree on his dish, and Christina did not use cream like her mother told her to do. In the end, Christina won her fourth (I think) consecutive individual challenge. Gordon Ramsay took her and her parents on a sightseeing and food tasting trip around LA.
Corey may have sealed her fate by not winning a single challenge in the end weeks, and having such a mild manner in the kitchen. I think she is a hard worker, but others will walk on her.
Watching the chef contestants yell at Chef Ramsay in practice for taking over the hot plate area was a riot. The girls were wholly uncomfortable, even as awkward as Ramsay tried to act he is still the 'sexy professor' type! Corey turned red trying to yell at him.
The Hell's Kitchen dinner service went well, all the contestants ran the point relatively well. Petrozza seemed the most in control during the chaos of a Christina meltdown on the fish station. Corey lost her place reading a ticket because an entree order was missing. None of the chef contestants seemed to be able to notice the small problems that were set up as stumbling blocks. Christina did the best, but it was an easy tasting issue.
Season 4 of Hell's Kitchen still seems to have the weakest crew yet. I hope Chef Ramsay can entrust a new kitchen to one of them. Remember the first season of Hell's Kitchen? I think the winner's name was Michael, that guy could cook with the greats! All of the contestants seemed to have a lot more experience. Maybe I'm just getting old!
So the two contestants going head to head next week in the finals of Hell's Kitchen Season 4 are:
Petrozza and Christina
Good Luck to both and see you next week in the Hell's Kitchen Finals!

Hell's Kitchen Season 4 - General Bobby Gets Demoted 6/10/08
Chef Ramsay Fires Bobby
FOX Tuesday 9/8c 6/10/08
FOX Tuesday 9/8c 6/10/08
Tonight Chef Gordon Ramsay expected a full, excellent dinner service from the Top 5 Chefs-to-be. He, of course, did not get it. Not even close. The contestants were told of a party of 12 coming in late in the dinner service, to prepare them for the late rush. The warning was not heeded and the kitchen fell behind.
The Reward Challenge winner was Christina, to the rest of the contestants chagrin. Christina has quite the attitude already and won time with 3 true chefs. She got the opportunity to pick their brains, watch them prepare meals and eat the finished product. The losing contestants had to clean both kitchens.
At the dinner service, there was little if any communication in the kitchen. This seems to be the worst season for contestants not working together. Don't think that Chef Ramsay hasn't noticed, he continually tells (or screams) at them to talk to each other. The consistently worst communicator in the kitchen has been Bobby. At crunch time, the 12 top walked in. Christina and Cory worked well together, regardless of their hatred of each other. Jen, Bobby and Petrozza fell apart until Chef Ramsay threatened to shut them all down. For once, Petrozza had a bad night, but he knew and acknowledged it. Jen is just awful, and such an attitude! Bobby is only willing to help himself, never will he offer assistance to anyone.
At the end of the night, Chef Ramsay was thoroughly disgusted with all of them except Christina. He advised Christina to go back to the dorms and choose two people for the cut. After a lot of consideration, the choice was clear the Jen and Bobby were the weakest links in Hell's Kitchen. Chef Ramsay wholly agreed with Christina's choices and called the two contestants out. He asked Jen why she should stay in Hell's Kitchen, she said she works hard. He asked Bobby why he got an attitude when Chef Ramsay yelled at him during service and Bobby replied, " I didn't think you were mad at me, I thought you were saving me." Chef Ramsay asked him if he was running for office. Bobby has never once assisted anyone else in Hell's Kitchen during dinner service, and that is unacceptable in a restaurant.
Chef Ramsay fired "General" Bobby (as he calls himself) without much hesitation.

Hell's Kitchen Season 4 6/03/08
Crazy Matt Leaves the Hell's Kitchen Forever
FOX Tuesday 9/8c 6/03/08
FOX Tuesday 9/8c 6/03/08
It's been brewing since Season 4 of Hell's Kitchen started, and last night Matt finally went around the bend. Something is obviously wrong with this guy! This is without a doubt the worst group of chef wanna-be's ever on the show. I can't imagine Chef Gordon Ramsay entrusting a 5 Star restaurant with any of these cooks. It seems the talent has really gone down hill since Season 1, when Chef Ramsay rescinded his offer of a new restaurant to the winner and instead allowed him to work "at" on of his. Sad, since that was undoubtedly the most talented chef group Ramsay has had to choose from.
From this group of yaw-hoos, Matt was the worst (or seemingly the least sane). The Top 6 remaining "chefs" were: Bobby, Jen, Petrozza, Corey, Christina, and Matt. Now forming one team for the first time, the Black team, had to do twice the amount of work they have barely gotten done on two teams.
The Reward Challenge was to make and present to Chef Ramsay a signature dish given the single ingredient by Gordon. Matt actually got praise during this task, but almost cried (or maybe he did) when he did not win. Bobby's dish was a complete failure, yet he still believes he is head and shoulders above the rest of the chefs.
The winner was a pleading, begging, rubbing her hands with her face while she cried and prayed, Jen. To the horror of the rest of the group. The prize was a trip to Las Vegas, and Jen picked Corey to accompany her (because she had to pick someone). While in Vegas, the ladies had a meeting with Roc, last season's winner of Hell's Kitchen. Rock looked a little surprised, as neither of these women appear to be Executive Chef material.
The other players had punishment of unloading all freight for the restaurant for the night. Matt whined and cried the whole time, and Christina got sick of it first. She and Matt started picking at each other, which continued all afternoon.
At dinner service, Chef Gordon Ramsay assigned stations to each contestant. Pairing Christina and Matt at the meat section to ensure a volatile night in Hell's Kitchen. The fireworks started with the first entree order for meat, and continued all night. Bobby just laughed, which is all he ever does, apparently not knowing that part of being an Executive Chef is gaining control of the kitchen.
Matt and Christina served plate after plate of poorly cooked meat before Matt really lost it stating that he had a migraine he was working through so he could not remember ticket orders. Chef Ramsay told him to leave the kitchen, Matt refused. So Gordon Ramsay took him by the hand, literally, and lead him to the door. "Go lay down in the dorms", screamed Chef Ramsay. So Matt did, he thought that Chef Ramsay understood.
Corey had a horrible night on veggies, and wound up burning her hand. The burn was not severe enough to warrant leaving, but made her cry. This really frustrated Chef Ramsay, and he finally shut down the whole kitchen after getting into it with Jen.
What a disaster. I don't think half of the diners got served. Gordon Ramsay appointed no winner (ya think?) and told them to go to the dorms and come up with two people to face him for elimination.
The group chose: Matt and Christina, Corey volunteered herself.
Chef Ramsay agreed with the nominations and told Corey to step up with Christina and Matt. The questions were just a formality as it was a foregone conclusion that Matt would be the one leaving Hell's Kitchen tonight. At least that was apparent to all except Matt, who still thought that Chef Ramsay understood him. Nope!
Matt was eliminated, but I do think Gordon Ramsay thinks something is mentally wrong with this guy.
So the Top 5 on Hell's Kitchen are: Christina, Corey, Jen, Bobby and Petrozza.
I have to assume that it will come down to Bobby or Petrozza, but can you imagine either as an Executive Chef at a 5 star restaurant? Me neither! Good luck Gordon.
